Description:

Detail Design. The Saih Rawl CPP has been processing wet gas from two gas reservoirs, Barik and Miqrat in Central Oman since mid-1999. The facilities in CPP were   originally   designed   for   an   export capacity of 40 MMSCMD of treated gas. The Company has initiated a separate project to de-bottleneck the existing plant to bring the export capacity to 48 MMSCMD. As gas is being produced from Saih Rawl, the reservoir pressure and hence the FTHP of Saih Rawl wells will decline over the remaining lifetime of the field. In order for CPP to continue to process wet gas from Saih Rawl wells and maintain its gas export capacity, the inlet pressure to its gas conditioning trains must be maintained constant at 96 bara. To achieve this, a number of depletion compression stages are planned to be installed upstream of the gas processing trains in separate phases. When the Phase I compressor inlet pressure falls below 35 bara Phase II compression train will be made operative The Phase II compression trains comprising of another set of compressors, which will receive the wet gas and boost the pressure from 13 bara to 35 bar a. The discharge of Phase II compressor will go to the phase I compressor suction, which will further boost the pressure to 96 bara.
