<p> To carry out Concept, front-end design and detailed engineering process/technical safety input to engineering projects in support of the development of new and existing oil and gas and water handling facilities and refineries.</p>
<p> <strong>Qualification & Expeirence:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
University Graduate in relevant Engineering (B.Sc. /M.Sc. /B.Eng.) and/or membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute</li>
<li>
For an Senior Engineer, a minimum 12+ years in design, and specification of oil & gas, refinery and petrochemical facilities. Field experience in construction, commissioning, or maintenance will be an added advantage</li>
<li>
Good spoken/written English PC literate</li>
<li>
Conversant with engineering softwares, relevant International codes & standards including NFPA’s, Shell (DEP’s) and PDO (SP’s) design and construction standards</li>
<li>
Experience in various stages of Process/Technical Safety Engineering work in Concept, FEED and Detailed Engineering stages.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Principal Accountabilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
Provide guidance on the appropriate risk mitigation measures required for Process Safety issues</li>
<li>
Responsible for safety engineering systems including fire / explosion protection systems, emergency facilities, and life saving equipment</li>
<li>
Disseminate knowledge and/or participation of industry/group led research or developments in the management of Process Safety hazards</li>
<li>
Participate in Reviews and Audits in order to facilitate lateral learning and ensure gaps in the systems are addressed</li>
<li>
Approve Process Safety Reports. Drawings & layouts as Lead where necessary</li>
<li>
Guide and mentor Junior Engineers on Process Safety.</li>
